About Me:
As a Denver native, I have always loved this city and the people in it. I attended East High School, CU Boulder for my undergrad and CU Denver for my Masters degree. As an adult, I followed my passion for learning and became a Middle School Language Arts teacher in North Denver. I loved my job as an educator, but was plagued by the financial difficulties it created. Because of this, I got my Real Estate license. I quickly learned that I could be saving a lot of money every month by owning a home instead of renting. So, using only my teacher salary and my $3,000 in savings, I bought my first home. This inspired me to start Equity for Educators. I hope to help other teachers and school employees realize the realities of home ownership so that good teachers can afford to keep teaching.
